This interesting pair of 19th century fencing foils / epees have steel blades, brass guards, pommels, bound grips on rectangular wooden handles and are marked to the blades - BPR. France. 5.

These foils have not been cleaned and are perfect decorative display item. They would look great in a hotel, bar or man cave and are nice collectable foils.

Fencing was an extremely popular sport in Europe so there were many gentleman's private fencing clubs in England and France towards the end of the 19th Century.

Date: Late 19th Century.

Size: Length - 109 cm (43") approx.

Weight: 338 and 340 grams.

Condition: Well used antique condition with lots of age related wear, surface rust, marks and scratches. Good decorative items. Blades are slightly out of shape. Please see pictures.
