This handsome antique table top gong which is made by John Grinsell & Sons has 2 cattle horns mounted on an English oak base, dates from the late 19th century, has decorative metal mounts and a blank central cartouche. The brass gong which is suspended between the two horns, is nicely polished and makes a nice loud dong when struck with the wooden striker.

This interesting and highly decorative gong would look super cool in a restaurant, bar or hotel or a nice feature piece for your home and great for dinner parties.

Date: Late 19th.

The base is fitted with a makers plaque for John Grinsell & Sons.

Height: 33 cm (13") approx.

Weight: 1.556 Kg.

Condition: Excellent antique condition with light signs of wear in keeping with age. Brass parts would have been silver plated but most of this has worn away leaving a warm tone. Please see pictures.
