This lovely sterling silver golfing trophy is of very nice quality being by the renowned silversmith Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd and is fully hallmarked for London 1936.

The silver cup which is designed as a bowl with two golf clubs and balls has an interesting inscription that reads Morning Post Golf Tournament. District Final at Church Brampton. 17 July 1937. TH Parker. 75+73 = 148.

This lovely cup would make a great collectors piece for a golf fan.

Hallmarked: Fully hallmarked with Lion for sterling silver. Leopards head for London, date letter A for 1936 and with the maker's mark G&S Co Ltd for Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd. Also has Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd. 112 Regent Street W inscribed to the bottom.

Weight: 89 grams.

Condition: Excellent antique condition with only very light signs of use in keeping with age. The base of the cup is slightly uneven. Please see pictures.
