This handsome antique table top gong which dates from the late 19th century is made of English oak and is in the form of a large wooden horseshoe with decorative silver plated fittings mounted on a wooden base with a blank cartouche.

The silver plated gong which is in the form of a bell is suspended from the horseshoe and makes a nice loud ring when struck with the wooden striker.

This beautiful and decorative gong is a very nice usable antique piece that would look wonderful in a hotel, bar, restaurant or in your home.

The top silver plated fitting is marked with the registered number of 4861.
