This handsome antique leather hat case which is of fine quality is made by British luxury luggage and trunk maker Finnigans Ltd of London, Manchester and Liverpool and has a beautiful colour and patina.

Finnigans Ltd was one of the finest British leather goods makers and retailer in the 19th century and had a customer base of American millionaires such as the Rockefellers, the Vanderbilts and the Fords.

The case features nice details like a sturdy leather handle to the top, a brass lock, front strap with maker's name embossed and brass rivets / fittings. The inside lining and the removable leather covered hat holder are in super condition.

There is no key but the latch closes and opens perfectly with the push button.

A very nice and usable case with a clean inside for keeping a hat safe but also ideal for home decor, shop display or photography / film prop.

Condition: Beautiful used antique condition with a wonderful patina. The interior and removable hat holder are in super condition. The leather has dried and cracked in places. Leather strap has wear and cracking to leather. There is a small split to the back corner. There is no key but the latch closes and opens perfectly with the push button. Please see pictures.
