This interesting football rattle is made by W.Clements & Sons in 1939 and would have been converted from a world war two ARP gas rattle after the end of the war by over painting in blue and white team colours and used on match days.

This rattle would have originally been used to give warning of a gas attack or used for a gas mask drill by air raid precaution personnel during WWII.

The rattle which is in full working order is marked with the makers details W.Clements & Sons and the date of manufacture - 1939. Looks great on display with other items of football memorabilia and a super gift for a football enthusiast.
