This handsome trophy which has three solid silver golf clubs which are hallmarked for London 1930 and are surrounding a Silver King 2 golf ball on a black wood base with fully hallmarked plaques to the front.

The antique trophy has an interesting inscription on a silver plaque which is fixed to the wooden base that reads: Longniddry Golf Club. 13th Hole (166 Yards) in One by Mr R.K. May. 22.3.31.

Longniddry Golf Club was founded in 1921 and are still open today.

A further plaque to the base reads With the compliment of the Silver Town Co.

Silver Town Co would have been the golf ball manufacturer.

This golfing trophy would make a great collector's piece.

Hallmark: Lion for sterling silver. Leopard's head for London. Date letter P for 1930 and maker's mark G Co for Glossoid Co.

Dimensions: Height: 17 cm (6 1/2").

Weight: 450 g.

Condition: Very good antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age. Silver has a few tarnish marks and light surface scratches. Please see pictures.
