This handsome antique hip flask which is made by renowned silversmith James Dixon and Sons dates from the early 1900's, has it's outer top half covered in light brown leather and has a detachable silver plated cup.

The spirit flask has a sight level on both sides, a hinged flip / bayonet top that is tight and seals well so does not leak and is marked to the cup and collar with the maker's detail.

This good quality flask is a nice usable size and both the flask and detachable cup are in very clean condition so would make a wonderful sporting gift.

Maker: James Dixon and Sons.

Marks: Marked to cup and collar with J.D & S for James Dixon and Sons with the trumpet mark. Also with EPBM for Silver Plate, Made in England and 3/8 Pt to cup.

Date: c1915.

Total weight: 342 grams.

Condition: Excellent used antique condition with only light signs of use in keeping with age. Some light surface scratches and small areas of tarnish. The leather is in excellent condition. The hinged lid closes tightly with no leaks. The cup slides on and off of the flask well and stays firmly in place. No splits, holes, chips, cracks or breaks. No monogram. Please see pictures.
