This stylish silver polo trophy which is by silversmith Sanders & Mackenzie is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1926 and has an interesting inscription that reads Malayan Polo Association. Russell Trophy.

This unusual silver trophy which is designed as a bowl sitting on three polo mallets with a central ball and is fitted to it's black wooden base.

This lovely cup would make a great collectors piece for a polo enthusiast.

Material: Solid silver. Fitted to a wood base.

Date: 1926.

Maker: Sanders & Mackenzie (Ernest Wilfred Sanders & Henry Arthur Mackenzie).

Hallmarked: Fully hallmarked with Lion for sterling silver. Anchor for Birmingham. Date letter B for 1926 and with the maker's mark S & M for Sanders & Mackenzie.

Diameter of base - 7.5 cm (3") approx.

Weight: 80 grams.

Condition: Excellent antique condition with only very light signs of use in keeping with age. Some very light surface scratches and tarnish. Please see pictures.
