This fascinating cigar box which is made of mahogany dates from the late 19th century and was gifted to Col Fendall & Officers Depot of the Kings Shropshire Light Infantry on June 1884.

The cigar box which is most likely by Army & Navy Cooperative Society Ltd has a fitted Bramah London Lock, a hinged lid and a silver coloured metal plaque that reads ..

This unique box is a fantastic item of historical military interest and one for a serious collector.

Manufacturer: Probably Army & Navy Cooperative Society Ltd.

Condition: Very good antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age. Signs of wear to the exterior edges. Chips to wood. The lining has damage to one section and there are no cross section inserts. No key for lock. Light scratches and small dings to plaque.
