This unusual Victorian novelty desk stand is designed with a central fox figure, a crossed stand depicting branches to hold a pen and 2 beautiful quality cut glass pin dishes set on an ornate base.

This unusual silver plate desk stand is by James Deakin & Sons, dates from c1878, looks great on display and is a good useable desk accessory.

It has an inscription which reads “Presented to F Winser by his employees July 30th 1878”.

Marked to underside with the makers mark for James Deakin & Sons.

Condition: Used antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age. Silver plate is worn all over. Pin dishes do not sit firmly in the recesses but are secure. The stand is slightly uneven. Some scratches, dings and signs of wear.
