This stylish claret jug which is made of crystal glass has a tapering body with a star cut base, a solid sterling silver top with hinged lid and spout, handle and is made by silversmith Hamilton & Inches.

This high quality presentation jug looks super with it's interesting inscription which celebrates the twinning of Haddington in Scotland and Aubigny in France and reads 40 years of Twinning. Haddington - Aubigny. 1965 - 2005. There are the flags of Scotland and France above the inscription.

The claret jug is in beautiful condition, is a good size and weight and is a nice decorative piece that could also be used.

Hallmarks: Fully hallmarked for sterling silver. 925. Edinburgh. Date letter e for 2004. Maker's mark H&I for Hamilton & Inches.

Condition: Excellent condition with only light signs of use in keeping with age. Some light surface scratches and a couple of tiny dings. Please see pictures.
