This fine quality Victorian Canterbury which dates from the 19th century is well made of mahogany, has nicely turned spindles, three dividing sections, a bottom drawer with a brass handle and is on brass casters.

This handsome wooden stand which was retailed by JAS Shoolbred & Co has the original ivorine JAS Shoolbred & Co, Tottenham Ct Road, London W1 label to the inside of the drawer and is also stamped with the design number 8716. Would make a great addition to your home furnishings.

Canterburys were originally used from the late 18th century to store sheet music and today are used as magazine or book racks.

Condition: Very good antique condition with some light age related wear and signs of use. One small piece of wood missing from the back spindle. Please see pictures.
