This fabulous George III solid silver cake basket is excellent quality being a very good heavy gauge and dates from 1810.

This early dish is oval in shape with a swing handle and has a nice simple but stylish design having a raised foot and a reeded edge.

The centre of the basket is inscribed with a crest of a Griffin.

A wonderful addition to your dining table, looks wonderful on display and would make a nice collectable piece for a Georgian silver collector.

Date: 1810.

Hallmarks: Fully hallmarked for sterling silver, London, date letter P for 1810 and maker's mark of TR. Thomas Radcliffe.
