This tactile Victorian hip flask which is made of silver is fully hallmarked for 1899, has a hinged flip / bayonet top and is made by renowned silversmith James Dixon and Sons.

The bayonet top is tight and seals well so does not leak.

A quality antique flask that has a beautiful feel so would make a very nice sporting gift.

Material: Solid Silver.

Maker: James Dixon and Sons.

Hallmarks: Fully hallmarked for silver, Crown for Sheffield, makers mark J.D & S for James Dixon and Sons. Date letter g. Hallmarked to the body and top.

Date: 1899.

Dimensions: 11 cm (4 1/4") High. 6 cm (2 1/4") Wide. 2 cm (3/4") Deep.

Total weight: 94 grams.

Condition: Very good used antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age. No splits, holes or breaks. No monogram. Some small bruises, scratches, small areas of tarnish and a small dent to the bottom corner. The hinged lid closes tightly with no leaks. Please see pictures.
