This lovely tactile spirit hip flask is crafted in hallmarked sterling silver with a detachable silver cup and bayonet hinged flip top. Both the hip flask and the cup are hallmarked for Stokes & Ireland Ltd, Birmingham 1890. Flasks of this age in this condition are a rare find. 127 years old.

The detachable cup has a gilded interior. The top seals well and does not leak. The front of the flask has a handsome monogram of HA or AH.

A lovely usable item that feels wonderful in the hand and would make a stunning antique sporting gift.

Fully hallmarked to front of the flask and also cup with Lion for sterling silver. Anchor for Birmingham. Date letter q for 1890.

Makers mark S & I for Stokes & Ireland Ltd.

Also hallmarked to the back of the flask and the back of the cup with Lion for sterling silver and date letter q for 1890.

Condition: Very good used antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age, some very light scratches and a few very small pin head sized dings expected for something that is 127 years old. No holes, breaks or damage. The hinged lid closes perfectly. Hallmarks are very slightly rubbed. The cup slides on and off of the flask well and stays firmly in place. Some scratches from where the cup slides on and off. There is a small bruise to the cap and side.
