This rare and unusual Stoolball bat which dates from c1900 is stamped with the makers mark for Spalding and the No 2. This interesting collectable bat has lots of lovely patina and is very decorative so would look great on display in a sports bar or home.

The bat has a banded end cap to the handle and is stamped with the Spalding logo and the No 2.

Stoolball is an ancient English game which has been played for over 500 years. It is the origin of baseball and perhaps cricket too, and is mentioned in Shakespeare's 'The Two Noble Kinsmen'.

Date: 1890 - 1910.

Size: 44 cm (17") long.

Weight: 323 g.

Condition. Used antique condition with lots of wonderful patina and wear. Some cracking, chips and small holes. No worm. Logo is faint. Please study pictures.
