This extremely rare football jersey that dates from the early part of the 20th century is made by St Margaret. St Margaret began producing football and rugby jerseys in 1870 and were a leading producer of sports clothing. They supplied shirts to Wales international, West Bromwich Albion and many other leading clubs.
This shirt which is c100 years old has black and white vertical stripes, lace up black collar with white cord, black cuffs and bears the makers label "St Margaret Made in England. Regd." Very similar to the Newcastle United 1908-1909 season shirt.
This shirt has seen lots of action and still bears dirt and stains from age old games of soccer.
This is the genuine item and not a reproduction. A very rare opportunity to own a football shirt of this age.
