This wonderful 19th Century Chinese tea bowl and saucer date from before 1822. Each is beautifully decorated and is complete with the Tek Sing Label and original catalogue number from Nagel Auction House in Stuttgart, Germany label for provenance. Also still present is the certificate of Authenticity from Pineapple Direct Ltd to guarantee they were recovered from the Tek Sing Cargo Wreck of 1822.

The Tek Sing sank in the South China Sea in 1822 after hitting a reef with around 1,600 people on board. Captain Mike Hatcher found the ship along with historian partner Nigel Pickford and in 1999 recovered the Tek Sing Treasures including around 350,000 pieces of Chinese porcelain that were sold at the Nagel Auction House in Stuttgart, Germany.

Measures: Saucer 12 cm across. Cup 8cms high.

Condition: Very good antique condition. Signs of age.
