This wonderful tennis trophy cup which is made of solid silver, features a pair of crossed tennis rackets, sits on it's fitted black base and is fully hallmarked for 1936.
The charming silver cup has an interesting inscription that reads: W.T.C Open Singles 1937 D. Herrington.
This very nice cup would make a wonderful collector piece for a tennis fan and looks great on display.
Material: Solid Silver.
Date: 1936.
Hallmark: Anchor for Birmingham. Date letter M for 1936 and maker's mark W.A for William Adams Ltd.

Height - 11 cm (4 1/4") approx on base.
Weight: 68 grams including base.
Condition: Very good antique condition with only very light signs of use in keeping with age. A few very light marks and light surface bruises to the side. Nice clear hallmarks. Please see pictures.
