This interesting and unique twin handled large wine cooler has been made from a very heavy antique brass ammunition shell that dates from 1914 during World War 1.

The large size makes it ideal for holding 5 full size bottles of wine or 4 Champagne bottles and is a wonderful piece of trench art.

This is a great talking piece, a usable barware item and looks wonderful on display.

Marks: Marked to base 23 NOV 1914. Polte Magdeburg. A Crown & Mg2.

Height: 23.5 cm (9 1/4") approx.

Diameter of shell: 22.5 cm (9") approx (plus side handles).

Weight: 6112 grams.

Date: 1914.

Condition: Very good antique condition with some marks, dings and age related patina as would be expected from a World War 1 ammunition shell. Handles are slightly different. Please study all pictures as they form part of the description.
