This wonderful Victorian glass spirit hip flask which has a detachable silver plated cup and hinged flip / bayonet top is made by the well known and regarded silversmith William Hutton and Sons.

The outer of the top half is covered in genuine black leather which has a rich feel. The flask is curved on one side so it slips into a pocket nicely and makes it wonderfully tactile. No inscription or monogram.

Flasks of this age in this condition are a rare find and would make a lovely usable gift.

Very good used antique condition. Signs of light use in keeping with age. The hinged lid closes perfectly with no leaks. The cup slides on and off of the flask well and stays firmly in place. Some very light scratches. The leather has a few light scuffs. There is one very very slight flat spot on the cap which only notices on very close inspection. Makers mark on base is rubbed but can be seen.
