This unique and interesting hand carved wooden award trophy plaque has a skilfully carved inscription that reads: The Governor's Shield with a carving of a laced leather football underneath.
The trophy plaque which dates from the early 20th century would have been given as an award in a football competition around 1920.
This unusual wooden plaque would make a great collector's piece for a football fan that would look great on display in a football museum, club, bar etc or just a nice decorative piece of football memorabilia for your man cave.
