This rare and unusual Stoolball bat which dates from c1900 is stamped with a makers mark and is an interesting collectable sporting item which has lots of lovely patina. It's also very decorative so would look great on display in a sports bar or home.

There is a makers mark stamped on the bat which has faded but the word London can be seen.

Stoolball is an ancient English game which has been played for over 500 years. It is the origin of baseball and perhaps cricket too, and is mentioned in Shakespeare's 'The Two Noble Kinsmen'.

Marked: London and a faded makers mark.

Material: Wood.

Date: 1890 - 1910.

Size: 44.5 cm (17 1/2") long.

Weight: 352 g.

Condition. Used antique condition with lots of wonderful patina and wear. Some cracking, chips and small holes. No worm. Please see pictures.
