This rare pair of antique battledore or badminton rackets which date from the mid 19th century originated in France, have wooden handles with green bindings and strung with a singing technique called "treblings".

These early racquets would make wonderful collectable items for a games enthusiast or antique sporting goods collector.

Date: Mid 19th century.

Dimensions of each bat: Length: 43 cm (17"). Width: 18.5 cm (7 1/4"). Height: 2 cm (3/4").

Total weight for the 2: 202 g.

Condition: Very good original antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age. Please see pictures.
