This interesting and early cricket ball trophy which was made using the original Benjamin Harse Oxford cricket ball from the match played in 1896 bears a silver metal band around the centre and shield that reads

Presented To TN Tasker. 8 Wickets. 12 Runs. Perth County V Carlton CC. 2 May 1896.

The rear of the band is engraved with Cramford Perth which would have been the maker.

A fabulous Victorian cricket trophy ball that would be an excellent addition to a collection of cricket memorabilia.

White metal is not hallmarked but tests as silver.

Weight: 200 g total.

Condition: Excellent used vintage condition with signs of use and wear to ball with a wonderful patina. The ball was used in the match. Comes with a later black presentation base. Please see pictures.
