This fine antique miniature playing card / patience box which is made of solid silver is fully hallmarked for 1928 and is made by top maker Asprey so is a high quality piece.

This handsome case has a beautiful engine turned decoration to the outer and a gilt interior with two separate compartments holding the 2 full packs of vintage miniature playing cards.

A high quality silver box by a top maker that would make a wonderful collector's piece for a silver collector or would make a very nice gift for a card enthusiast. The inside of the lid has been lovingly inscribed with the inscription L & E G S 29-7-29.

Hallmarks: Fully hallmarked with Lion for silver. London. Makers mark A & Co LTD and Asprey London. Date letter n for 1928. Hallmarked to both inside of lid and side body of the box.

Weight of silver box only: 128 grams.

Condition: Very good used antique condition with some all over shallow bruises and light signs of use in keeping with age. No breaks, holes or splits. A scratch to the top edge. Lid clasp and hinge work as they should. Please see pictures.
