This antique silver plate tankard which is by Keith Murray for Mappin & Webb has a stylish Art Deco design and is marked to the base with the maker's marks.
This mug has an important connection as it was given by members of the Officers Mess and has an inscription reading:

This also shows the 22 Bomb Disposal Company logo and would have been engraved and presented to Captain Cox when their bomb disposal company was disbanded at the end of 1949.
