This vintage Bookmaker's sign which is made of metal dates from the mid 20th century and reads:
Jack Forster. Norwich.
This turf accountant's board would have been used at a horse / greyhound racetrack by the bookie Jack Forster of Norwich to display the odds for each race. There are clips to hold a sheet of paper or card where the odds were displayed.
This highly decorative sign has a yellow and black background with red writing and is a nice shape and size. Can be attached to a wall or a pole using the brackets on the reverse.
Today this could be used to display a menu, opening times or similar using the clips to the front.
Would look super cool hung in a sports cafe, hotel, bar or just a nice decorative piece for your home.
