This antique match holder and striker which is made of brass dates is of a boot which is being removed in a boot jack and dates from the 19th century.
This unusual Victorian match holder is in the form of an open boot to keep matches and the boot jack can be used for striking the matches. Both sit on a brass base which has a nice twisted decoration.
A very nice unusual collectible item that looks great on display and is an ideal gift for a match holder collector.
