This pair of antique hole marker planters which were originally situated and used on Weymouth, Dorchester & County Golf Club are made of heavy cast iron and date from the late 19th century.
This pair of rustic pots are marked to the outer with W D & C G C (Weymouth, Dorchester & County Golf Club) and arrows. They have handles on either side and are also both marked with the hole number where they were situated on the course. No 6 and No 16.
These hole marker containers would have been handmade especially for Weymouth, Dorchester & County Golf Club who operated from 1893 - 1924.
A very nice pair of heavy antique garden planters that have a great look with remnants of layered white and yellow paint from being re-painted and weathered over the years.
Material: Cast Iron.
Dimensions of each: Width: 35 cm (13 3/4"). Depth: 24 cm (9 1/2"). Height: 24 cm (9 1/2").
Total weight for the two: 34.5 Kg.
Condition: Good used decorative antique condition. Some cracks and chips. One has a piece missing. All over wear, surface rust and patina leaving a wonderful decorative look. Please see pictures.
