This vintage / antique half Coco De Mer which dates from the first half of the 20th century is an unpolished palm tree nut seed.

This half Coco De Mer is native to the Seychelles and is also known as the coconut of the sea. This is the largest and heaviest seed in the world and only grown in the Seychelles.

A highly sought after piece that would make a wonderful display piece and has a hook on the reverse so can be hung on a wall.

Date: First half of the 20th century.

Dimensions: Width: 21.5 cm (8 1/2"). Depth: 7.5 cm (3"). Height: 24.5 cm (9 1/2").

Condition: Very good antique / vintage unpolished condition with light signs of use in keeping with age. Hook fitted to the reverse. Please see pictures.
