This very nice spirit hip flask which is by top maker James Dixon & Sons dates from c1900, is made of glass with a detachable silver plated cup and hinged flip / bayonet top.

The outer of the top half is covered in a handsome crocodile pattern leather with a sight level to both sides, the bayonet top cap seals well and does not leak having had a new cork seal fitted. The collar and cup are marked with the maker's marks with the cup being engraved with a letter B.

This handsome antique hip flask is a wonderful tactile item and would make a very nice usable gift.

Condition: Very good used antique condition with signs of light use in keeping with age. Some light surface scratches and marks. The hinged lid closes perfectly with no leaks. The leather and glass is in very sound condition. Please see pictures.
