This handsome antique croc leather jewellery case which is by top leather goods maker Drew & Sons of Piccadilly Circus London, dates from c1900 and has a rich brown colour and patina.
The interior of the box has a brown velvet lining, the underside is embossed in gold with the maker's details and this case has a concealed push button clasp.
Drew & Sons were based at 33, 35-37 Piccadilly Circus from the 19th century until early 20th century and specialised in making high end leather goods. Queen Victoria and the Royal Family were amongst their customers.
This beautiful quality case is a very nice usable antique piece for keeping your jewellery, cufflinks, trinkets and watches. Would look wonderful on a dressing table and would make a special gift.

Weight: 170 g.
Condition: Excellent used antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age. Some light marks and general wear. Push button clasp works as it should. Inside would have had a removable divider which is missing. Please see pictures.
