This fascinating glass eye which dates from the first half of the 20th century originates from France and was skilfully hand blown.
This artificial glass eye has an Iris and a Pupil which have been blown into the glass. This is one of the early stages of manufacturing with the eye still being attached to the original stalk before it has been cut and then painted.
This rare item has a hand written label fixed to it showing the name Poupard from when it was manufactured and would make an interesting collector's piece.

Date: First half of the 1900's.
