This fabulous antique cockerel weathervane which is hand made of copper dates from the 18th century and would have originally sat at the top of a village church spire.

This French coq du clocher (rooster of the bell tower) which has a round head and large wattle has a beautiful aged patina with lots of charming age related wear and gun shot holes which all add to this decorative piece.

Comes mounted on a later black painted wooden display stand and would make a wonderful statement piece.

Materials: Copper. Wood base.

Date: 18th Century.

Condition: Well used original antique condition with wear, tear, chips, holes and weather damage in keeping with age. Has a beautiful aged patina that gives a wonderful decorative look. Please see pictures.
