This large cutaway model of a 4 stroke engine which dates from c1960 was used to demonstrate how the internal combustion engine works and looks super cool on display.

When the handle is turned the piston moves up and down. One of the valves moves up and down but the other one does not function.

The engine section is made of metal, the base is wood and fitted with a name plaque for Fysica Arnhem.

An interesting and decorative piece.
