The Streamline racket design was patented by former tennis player and inventor Frank W. Donisthorpe and was filed in 1934.

Hazells produced a range of Streamline rackets and the Blue Star was a high-quality tournament grade racket. It became famous through its association with Bunny (Henry) Austin who was an English tennis champion of the 1930s and runner up at Wimbledon in 1932 and 1938 who promoted and played with the design.
