This fabulous street vendor's toleware Hot Saveloy warmer which dates from the late 19th / early 20th century is painted using gilt paint with Hot Saveloys to the front, has a lift up lid with a brass knob from where to serve the sausages, a small air vent chimney and has a lower hot water compartment.
This unusual server would have been used by a Victorian or Edwardian street food vendor to sell his saveloys from his cart on the streets.
A wonderful decorative piece that is over a hundred years old and looks wonderful on display. Would make a great addition for a cafe, hotel, bar, restaurant or an interesting centrepiece for your home kitchen.
