This wonderful antique tray and cover are hand woven by a native African tribe in a coiled design and made of natural fibres. The African tribe created their handsome diamond shaped pattern using natural dyes and this basket & lid date from the first half of the 20th century.

This interesting tray is a nice large size and with it's conical shaped cover would have been used as a food storage container. Looks fantastic on display and makes a nice centrepiece for the home.

Condition: Good used antique condition with some light signs of use in keeping with age. Some missing weave. Some fading to the outside. Please see pictures.
