This handsome opera top hat which is a collapsible / pop up type hat is an extra large size being a UK size 7 5/8 and is marked to the inside with the maker's marks of Lock & Co Hatters, St James's Street, London.

This fine quality vintage / antique hat which is in perfect conditional looks as though it has never been worn, is also marked to the inside with Established 1759, Registered Trade Mark, dates from the second quarter of the 20th century and comes in a Lock & Co cardboard box to protect it.

A rare opera hat being such a large size and in such good condition so is ideal for wearing to a wedding, a day at the races, special event or would also make a nice prop, shop display or collectible.

Condition: In perfect vintage / antique condition looking as though it has never been worn. The pop up mechanism works as it should. A very good usable extra large size opera hat with no wear or staining. Box is by the same maker as the hat but is not the original and has some wear and tear. Please see pictures.
