This fabulous antique piece of tooth which is from a woolly mammoth dates from c12000 BC and is a fascinating ancient fossil that has a highly polished finish to one side, unpolished reverse and sits on a black wooden stand.

Woolly mammoths are extinct relatives of today's elephants and were probably around 13 feet tall. They ate plants and roamed Europe, Asia and North America for thousands of years from around 300000 years ago up until around 10000 years ago.

A very nice example that looks stunning on display in a cabinet of curiosities.
