These two fabulous French Apothecary signs which are reverse painted in gold leaf on black glass are unusual with the writing having a 3D effect and date from the 19th century.

These two highly decorative signs are mounted in open arched pediment panels and would have once been part of a larger cabinet in a pharmacy.

The first panel reads Oxygene Pour Inhalations. The second reads Analyses Medicales and is signed Dewez to the bottom right corner.

A couple of unusual antique signs that would be ideal for a bar, pharmacy, hotel etc or just nice decorative pieces for the home.

Material: Glass. Wood.

Date: 19th century.

Approx dimensions of each: Width: 69.5 cm (27 1/2"). Depth: 5.5 cm (2 1/4"). Height: 55 cm (21 1/2").

Total weight for the two: 12 kg.

Condition: Very good antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age. Some wear, tear, cracks and missing parts giving the signs a wonderful decorative look. No breaks to glass which is original. Some wear and lifting to paint. Please see pictures.
