This Victorian 1 pint silver plated tankard which is by Mappin & Webb has an important connection as it was given as a trophy in 1895 and has an inscription reading:

It also features the Middlesex Yeomanry badge with the moto "Pro Aris et Focis" (For Hearth and Home).
The Middlesex Yeomanry were a volunteer cavalry regiment of the British Army originally raised in 1797.
A truly unique and interesting piece of history.
