This handsome pair of sterling silver menu holders which are of fine quality are made by Horrace Woodward & Co Ltd and are fully hallmarked.
These menu holders which are designed as shields could also be used to display a photograph, party invitation or business card.
These have a blank shield cartouche so could be engraved and would make a great piece for a silver or menu holder collector or would make a wonderful gift.
Material: Solid silver.
Date: 1906 and 1907.
Maker: Horrace Woodward & Co Ltd.
Hallmarked: Fully hallmarked with Lion for sterling silver. Birmingham. Maker's mark for Horrace Woodward & Co Ltd. One has date letter h for 1907 and one has date letter g for 1906.
They are also marked with the registration no: 454426.
Approx dimensions of each menu holder: Length: 3.5 cm (1 1/4"). Width: 3.5 cm (1 1/4"). Height: 3.5 cm (1 1/4") approx.
Weight 23.5 g & 22 g.
Condition: Excellent antique condition with only light signs of use in keeping with age. No holes, breaks, splits or damage. Some very light surface scratches. Please see pictures.
