This superb quality Barrister's wig which is manufactured by top wig maker Ravenscroft Law dates from the 19th century, is made of woven horsehair, marked with the maker's label of Patentee. Ravenscroft and number 1 to the inside and also with a label with the original owner's name.
This Victorian wig which came from a family in Hampshire comes complete with it's black and gold toleware Ravenscroft tin which is marked to the top with the owner's name of H Greenfield Esqre which reads the same as to the inside of the wig. Also marked to the inside with Ravenscroft Law. Wig & Robe Maker. Lincolns Inn. London.
A very nice original antique piece that also includes some court collars.
