This handsome antique hip flask which is made of solid silver by silversmith Samuel Smith is fully hallmarked for 1892, has a hinged bayonet top and is in beautiful condition.

A very nice usable Victorian flask in excellent condition that has a wonderful tactile feel so would make an ideal sporting gift.

Material: Solid Silver.

Date: 1892.

Maker: Samuel Smith.

Hallmarks: Fully hallmarked for silver, Anchor for Birmingham, makers mark S.S for Samuel Smith. Date letter S for 1892.

Hallmarked to both sides of the body and collar.

Also marked: Association of Silversmiths. 6 Grand Hotel Buildings, London.

Dimensions: 6 cm (2 1/2") Width. 2.5 cm (1") Depth. 11 cm (4 1/4") Height.

Flask holds 100 ml.

Total weight: 88 grams.

Condition: Excellent used antique condition with only light signs of use in keeping with age. No damage, splits, holes or breaks. A couple of shallow bruises and light surface scratches. The hinged lid closes tightly with no leaks. No monogram. Please see pictures.
