This fine miniature playing card box which is in wonderful condition is made of silver, is by William Hutton & Sons Ltd and is fully hallmarked for 1904.

The handsome case is designed to hold 2 packs of miniature playing cards and this one comes with one full pack of Swiss cards. The lid has been lovingly inscribed with the inscription Xmas 1905 and the underside is marked with the retailer's details which are JC Vickery. 179 181 183 Regent St.

This box would make a wonderful collectors piece for a silver collector or card enthusiast.

Hallmarked: To lid with Lion for sterling silver and date letter e for 1904.

To the lip with a Lion for sterling silver, Anchor for Birmingham, date letter e for 1904 and maker's mark WH & SS Ltd for William Hutton & Sons Ltd.
