This antique solid Silver tennis trophy cup which is in the form of a chalice cup is by silversmith Herbert M Slater and is fully hallmarked for 1927.
This handsome footed goblet has a wonderful design to the front that shows a 1920's tennis player about to hit the ball and would have been made for a tennis trophy.
This fine quality silver trophy which is a large size, is a good weight and does not have an inscription so can be used as a trophy. Would make a unique collector's piece for a tennis enthusiast.
Material: Solid Silver.
Hallmark: Lion for Sterling Silver. Crown for Sheffield. Date letter k for 1927. Maker's mark H.M.S for Herbert M Slater.

Condition: Excellent antique condition with only light signs of use in keeping with age. A few very light surface scratches and marks. Please see pictures.
