This handsome antique walking cane which dates from 1892 has a beautiful twist design silver handle, a nice thick wooden shaft, brass tip and is a nice weight.

This quality stick is a good length at 92 cm long, fully hallmarked and is made by John Grinsell & Sons.

This fine cane would make a wonderful piece for a walking stick collector.

Hallmark: Lion for sterling silver. Anchor for Birmingham. Date letter S for 1892 and maker's mark J.G & S for John Grinsell & Sons.

Dimensions: 92 cm (36 1/4") Length. 4 cm (1 1/2") Width at widest part of silver handle.

Weight: 266 g.

Condition: Very good usable antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age. Some scratches and a few bruises to silver top and general wear. Hallmark is nice and clear. Please see pictures.
